'Postcard from Action Cat' by Eric Yoshiaki Dando.
Postcard from Action Cat.
Dear groovy people,
India is really beautiful, everything is really cheap and you only need about three dollars a day.
Remember, don't eat white flour and don't eat white sugar and don't smoke tailor made cigarettes - they are all poisoning you.
I am only eating fallen fruit and boiled water.
You are all living in a really negative, bad vibe place and you should all just come over and live here. Airfares are really cheap. I have the money I owe you. I have enough beans for everybody.
Action Cat.

One Poem by Cherry Rao.
i called you my butter cookie
by cherry rao
i know them way back, packed
in the supermarket, stacks after stacks
labeled blue, each blue can
our big city's favourite, wrapped in red
spring's warmest gift.
it must have been your baby blues, or me
overwhelmed in a scent
so flattering, in a way
so sweet, it caters my court,
your ship.
crunchy touches, sugar on top, taste
on my tongue, the best flavor
unlocked - the best thing i know from you country -
all these golden pieces of loveliness
sink in memories.
"Cherry Rao, a 20 something, graduated from the University of Hong Kong, with majors in Fine Arts and English Studies. She has been working in art galleries and areas of arts education, cannot stop loving art, will never stop writing poetry. She writes therefore she is..."

Three Poems from Tracey S. Rosenberg.
Widower.
When he returned to the office, pale
as a haunted child, we all peered at him
from behind our monitors like jailers
scanning the yard for an escape. His grim
blank glances made us wince and lower our eyes
and when anyone mentioned "my wife," the way
one does in the course of a married life,
we froze, each of us turning away.
Withdrawn in my cubicle, I searched in vain
for a way to reach him, to soothe the crack
or reveal a path through the blinding pain –
empathy, mutual rage, a suicide pact
or a mercy fuck.
As I emerged, he
shrank within the crowd, looking beyond me.
Commas.
He drives his words through
no stops
for red signs or thoughts
or breathing that hooks
curled to a close
when breath
leaves
Semper Fi.
I left work three hours early
to fuck an ex-marine
I'd met two hours before.
Peeling himself out of civvies
he looked scarred and strange.
When he groaned
my nails scored
his ring, already scratched.
"Tracey S. Rosenberg isn't Scottish, though the next sentence may make you think she is. She lives in Edinburgh, holds a New Writers Award from the Scottish Book Trust, and has published in Poetry Scotland and New Writing Scotland. Her novel The Girl in the Bunker, telling the final days of Hitler from the perspective of Joseph Goebbels's twelve-year-old daughter, will be published by Cargo Publishing in July."
